Our Leadership

Mrs. Elizabeth Obese is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom, and holder of a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Cape Coast. She is a distinguished finance professional, institutional leader, and philanthropist with extensive experience in financial management, governance, and strategic development. She is a former Director of Finance of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, where she provided leadership in financial planning, accountability, regulatory compliance, and resource mobilisation and management.

As President of the Daniel Ntow Obese Foundation (DNOF), she provides strategic direction for the Foundation’s programmes in education, healthcare, mentorship, and community development, with a strong commitment to empowering children, youth, and women.

Mrs. Obese is passionate about philanthropy, mentoring, and creating opportunities that transform lives and communities.

Prof. Ernest Obese is a pharmacist, academic, and researcher with expertise in pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and natural product research. He holds a PhD degree in Pharmacology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast.

He is an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Cape Coast, where he contributes to teaching, research, and professional development.

As Vice-President of the Daniel Ntow Obese Foundation (DNOF), Prof. Obese supports the Foundation’s vision of transforming lives through education, healthcare, and community development. He is committed to advancing research, mentorship, and initiatives that improve the wellbeing of individuals and communities.

Mr. George Amfo-Antiri is a seasoned finance professional and higher education administrator with extensive experience in financial governance, institutional management, and strategic planning. He currently serves as the Director of Finance at the University of Cape Coast, where he provides leadership in financial management, budgeting, reporting, internal controls, and resource mobilisation.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), United Kingdom, and holds an MBA in Finance from the Open University of Malaysia. He is also a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.

As Secretary of the Daniel Ntow Obese Foundation (DNOF), Mr. Amfo-Antiri contributes to the effective governance, administration, and implementation of the Foundation’s programmes in education, healthcare, and community development. He is passionate about accountability, innovation, mentorship, and creating sustainable solutions that improve lives.

Dr. Vida Obese is a Neurologist and Senior Physician Specialist at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi, Ghana, with specialisation in movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. She is one of Ghana’s leading advocates for improved awareness, diagnosis, and care for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

Her work focuses on strengthening local capacity, developing practical approaches to early diagnosis, and improving access to care for patients and families.

As a Member of the Daniel Ntow Obese Foundation (DNOF), Dr. Obese contributes her expertise and passion for healthcare, community service, and advocacy to support the Foundation’s mission of improving lives through education, health, and empowerment initiatives.

Mrs. Amoah-Smith is a finance professional and Senior Accountant at the University of Cape Coast. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Science degree in Project Management from the University of Cape Coast, as well as a professional certificate in Leadership from the University at Buffalo, United States of America. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

With expertise in accounting, financial management, and project coordination, Mrs. Amoah-Smith brings valuable experience in financial stewardship and organisational management. As Treasurer of the Daniel Ntow Obese Foundation (DNOF), she is responsible for managing the Foundation’s financial resources, ensuring accountability, transparency, and effective financial planning to support the Foundation’s programmes and initiatives.

She is committed to promoting sustainable development and supporting initiatives that create meaningful impact in education, healthcare, and community empowerment.
